Use this post to talk about people you're thinking of apping! Other people can give feedback, flail all over you, etc. The wanted characters list may also be helpful. Mods will also watch this and help you decide if your character counts as V1 or V2+ if there's any question, or if they're AU enough to be appable. Concerns: He's dead! I see the FAQ section on dead characters existing in the dreaming, but he currently exists in a post-dressing-room musebox-setting where he sleeps and dreams like everyone else. Is this something we can work with, or should I reboot him a bit?

He'd be fine to bring as-is. We accept dead characters as still dreaming/being dreamed of.

For more clarification, is the musebox setting just basically how his now-slightly-AU post-series has played out?

Pretty much, yes. It's a continuation of the old dndressingroom setting, which is your basic large-building-full-of-torture-and-all-the-people-who-hated-you-in-life deal. It's made him grumpy and contemplative and even more wary and suspicious: imagine Light grown up a bit and all bitter and twisted. He hasn't sprouted wings or anything like that!

I had been thinking about bringing her back, but with previous game memories and experiences. In the original game I had her in, she had obtained some Sorceress powers from Ultimecia after she died. Would she technically still be considered a V1, or a V2?

Since it's a pretty significant change, we'd consider her a V2.

Concerns: I'm wanting to gauge interest in the characters and see if there might be a preference for which I would apply for first. Also for Kyouya I was curious as to whether the manga or anime version might hold a preference.

Concerns: So I've been reading through the requirements of AUs and might have passed it (due to lack of coffee on my end) and wanted to ask if AUs needed to be official canon AU. Steph isn't an official Marvel Canon AU.

Thank you for your interest! We accept all types of AUs, so there'd be no problem with a gender-swap AU. We just ask for details of how the world and/or events have changed as well in the 'changes from canon' portion.

Okay, so HMP only appears in 5 panels in the manga (not at all in the anime and in two musicals). If I add headcanon, throw in information from the artbook, would she still be OU or AU? I want her to still be HMP from the manga, know who she knows, but there's like no info on her, save her death butterflies of doom.

She would still be considered OU with the headcanon. We'd just ask the app to include some of this headcanon to flesh her out more since canon is sparse.

Concerns: Vincent is a fandom OC, the father of a supporting character named Madeline Fenton, who herself is the father of the actual main character. Vincent is based on a fanfic I got the author's explicit permission to RP from - I can have her email a mod if needed - but my main concern is that he's a fandom OC and I didn't see it specified whether or not that was okay.

Also his icons are terrible and I have no excuse except an inability to draw and I apologize profusely for that, but since his eyes being purple are a plot point it was hard to figure out how else to portray him.

Fandom OCs are perfectly fine; we accept them. All we'd ask, since he seems to be a minor character and without canon background, is a written background portion on the application (normally we allow a wiki link except in the case of OCs).
